Just got told today the contract I have up here in Vermont for railroading is being put on hold. So they are letting us independent contractors go. One month in a five month plan. I freaked out at first. Not gonna lie. I got used to living in a hotel room. Loosing this contract and waiting for another one meant I had to stay in the van. In early spring. In New England. I wasn’t looking forward to the weather. Plus with the virus going around, all the state parks in the area are closed. So going out to explore would have been very limited. But after talking with the company that employs me and some friends, I have options. So I am not that worried about it anymore. But jeez let me tell you. That rush I got from finding that out. I do love it. That panicky “oh crap you thought everything was smooth sailing and now it’s not what are you gonna dooooooo.” Feeling.  It’s a love hate relationship I have with it. It’s not even the same end of the first quarter of 2020 and already it is looking like one big ride.
